DMS Adviser terms
Since 1996 DMS has always been an ASU provider to Independent Intermediaries and Mortgage Advisers. We do not advise on the suitability of our products for Clients. Our policy is to recommend that Clients seek advice on the suitability of our products from an Independent Financial Adviser. If they are not already in touch with an IFA we will upon request supply them with the details of several IFA’s near to them.
DMS will provide Agency facilities and access to its online services to any individual or firm directly authorised by the FSA to transact non investment insurance business. DMS will also provide this facility to any Appointed Representative, so long as their Network Principal agrees to this, and accepts full compliance responsibility for them.
As far as Advisers are concerned, our operation is totally paperless. Applications and Direct Debits are completed and submitted online. If a Client uses e-mail, DMS will e-mail policy documentation to them, and copy this by e-mail to the Adviser. If not, then hard copy is posted to the Client.
Your Clients will normally be on cover within the hour, and you can discuss with the Underwriter any particular case before it goes ahead. Acceptance and Direct Debit letters together with a copy of the Certificate of Insurance will be e-mailed to you.
If you need to send paperwork to your Client for completion, two routes are available to you. You may download a Data Capture form from this website, send it to your Client for completion, and upon return submit it to us online. Alternatively, if you have sufficient information to hand, you can complete an urgent quote request on the website. This request the minimum amount of information we need in order to e-mail an illustration to you.
Unlike some ASU providers DMS underwrites every case is individually at inception. If for any reason we are not prepared to offer precisely standard terms to your Client, or if we propose to exclude any cover, we will issue an Advice Note to you notifying the terms that we are prepared to offer, and confirming to you that we await instructions before going ahead.
DMS Short Term Income Protection products are priced to beat other Providers offerings on competition websites for Clients aged 30 or more. These extremely competitive rates support Commissions paid at 25%.
